Yumeka Oda is a 18-year-old Japanese skateboarder. This young Athlete started snowboarding in Japan before switching to skateboarding.
“I used to do snowboarding, but I didn’t have things to do in the summer,” she explains on Olympics.com. And when she was in her first year of elementary school, her uncle recommended that she go skateboarding. So she joined a class and Actually found it fun.

Yumeka Oda claimed that, as she learned to skate, her main goal was to have fun. But then, when she entered her first competition and tasted her first win, something in her shifted, and she developed a taste for competition.
For now, her main goal is winning Paris 24, and it’s a little personal. So she’s intending to improve her performances, finish in a higher position at various international competitions, and get points.
Yumeka Oda’s Goals and Rivalry
Another one of Yumeka Oda’s goals is to beat Raysaa Leal “She has an aggressive style and pulls off tricks I can’t do, which makes me feel like I don’t want to lose,” She says.
Sure enough, Oda’s goal was achieved in Rome. She was on the podium, taking third place, while Raysaa finished in fifth place.
